ThanksgivingAre you craving a unique drink to compliment one of the many traditional dishes this holiday?

Here are some creative Thanksgiving drink recipes for your upcoming holiday gatherings.

Hard Cider Sangria1. Hard Cider Sangria

Instead of having a boring glass of wine, try your hand at making a pitcher of hard cider sangria.

You’ll need one cup of thinly sliced apples, a thinly sliced navel orange, one cup of apple juice, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, a quarter cup of apple brandy, and a 22 ounce bottle of your favorite hard apple cider. Serve chilled with ice.

Thanksgiving Drink - Ginger&Bourbon2. Ginger and Bourbon

While simple, this drink is a big party pleaser.

For four servings you’ll need 4 ounces of your favorite bourbon, a can of ginger ale, and four lime wedges. Divide the bourbon and ginger ale in four glasses filled with ice, then squeeze a wedge of lime in each. Serve immediately.

Warm Cider and Rum Punch3. Warm Cider and Rum Punch

Try this to spice up your holiday punch this season.

You’ll need 8 cups of apple cider (the fresher the better), an apple and an orange (both thinly sliced crosswise), a few cinnamon sticks, a small piece of ginger (1 inch long, peeled and thinly sliced), and 2 cups of your favorite dark rum. Bring all ingredients, besides the rum, to boil in a large pot on the stove. Then, reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes. If needed, you can keep it warm on low for an hour. Transfer to a bowl and mix in rum. Be sure to serve it warm for the best effective.

Cosmopolitan4. Cosmopolitan

This is a classic drink.

You’ll need 1 and 1/2 ounces of vodka, 3/4 ounce of cranberry juice, 1/2 ounce of triple sec, 1/2 ounce of fresh squeezed lime, ice, and a slice of lime as a garnish. Mix the vodka and cranberry juice in a chilled cocktail glass. Shake the triple sec and lime juice together, then strain into the glass. Serve with a lime garnish.

Whiskey Sour5. Whiskey Sours

Here is a great fruity for your next gathering.

To make eight servings you’ll need 4 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 cup of triple sec, 2 and 1/2 cups of whisky, orange slices and/or maraschino cherries for garnishes, and ice.
